Hall of Fame Guidelines

 

We need your input and help in selecting the new hall of fame members (limit 3).  To nominate someone pick up a form from the high school.

 

Points to consider:

·         All past nominees will remain on the list future consideration.

·         New nominees are welcome throughout the year.

·         Selection committee will decide inductees.

 

Purpose:  To recognize deserving Watkins Memorial Athletic Alumni, Coaches, Administrators, and Boosters for extraordinary contributions to the success of the overall athletic program.  A plaque is displayed in the high school as a lasting honor.

 

Criteria:  Entry will be based on the following

·         Former player, manager, trainer, coach, or administrator at WMHS

·         Successful in their field.

·         Major contribution to the WMHS Athletic Program

·         Basic athletic honors participating/coaching for WMHS

 

Other Points the Committee Considers

 

·         Number of Sports Participated

·         Number of Varsity Letters Earned

·         Number of Special Awards

·         State level athletic honors

·         Overall Contribution to the Watkins Memorial Community

·         Represented Watkins Memorial during and after high school in a favorable light
